Nilima Eriyat is the Executive Producer of Studio Eeksaurus, a company she co-founded with Suresh Eriyat in 2009. With over 26 years of experience across advertising and filmmaking, Nilima has played a pivotal role in shaping the studio’s trajectory – guiding it from an animation-focused practice into one of India’s most respected film production houses. Under her leadership, Studio Eeksaurus has sustained steady growth and profitability while producing a diverse body of work that seamlessly integrates design across animation, live action, and hybrid formats.
Nilima has produced over 300 advertising films and nine short films. Among these, Fisherwoman and Tuk-Tuk, Tokri, and Kandittund received the National Film Award in 2015, 2017, and 2023 respectively. Her work has also been internationally recognized, with Rotary Fateline (2015) and Desi Oon (2025) winning the Annecy Cristal for India in the commissioned films category.
In addition to her production work, Nilima served as a jury member at the D&AD Awards in 2024 and 2025.
Expanding the studio’s creative horizons, Eeksaurus has recently ventured into print and merchandising – an evolution Nilima views as a natural extension of the design-driven philosophy that underpins the company’s vision and practice.
